Working life-oriented teaching (TEPPO)
Working life-oriented basic education familiarises students with working life already during their basic education! The studies of working-life oriented basic education alternate on-the-job training periods at workplaces with teaching at school.
Religion and ethics education
Either religion or ethics are taught in basic education. A student can also receive teaching in their own religion in primary and lower secondary schools in Vantaa.
Teaching of the student's native tongue
Vantaa provides teaching of a student's own native tongue, home language and maintained language for two hours per week.
Aid equipment in basic education
Aid equipment may include means such as customised learning and teaching materials, technical devices and classroom fixtures.

Pre-primary Education Enrollment
A child’s guardian is obliged to ensure that their child participates in pre-primary education or some other activity that fulfills the objectives of pre-primary education during the year before compulsory education begins.
School travel and school transportation
School transportation is primarily arranged by public modes of transport, in which case the student receives a free-of-charge schoolchild's travel card. The travelcard can be downloaded at Vantaa Infos. In exceptional cases, however, taxi transportation can be arranged, if it is not possible for the
