New TUVA education enables students to decide on their own study paths after basic education
TUVA education (preparatory education for programs leading to an upper secondary qualification) will commence in Vantaa on August 3, 2022.
Safer space
A safe city constitutes the foundation for the residents’ good life. In Vantaa, safer spaces are of particular importance, since numerous people of all ages and backgrounds use the city's premises.
Rental of youth centre facilities
The City of Vantaa offers various facilities to support youth activities. For example, you can reserve, for example, studios for band activities, recreational camps and youth centres from the city's youth services.
Reservation of residential activity facilities
Local communities/organisations and private individuals can reserve residential activity facilities for their use.
Apprenticeship studies
An apprenticeship can be used to obtain any upper secondary-level vocational qualification. With an apprenticeship, you learn by doing: you get paid and accumulate your work experience.
Basic education for grades 7-9
In grades 7 through 9, pupils study common and optional subjects in line with the national distribution of lesson hours.
Basic education for grades 1-6
In grades 1 through 6, pupils have their own class teacher who teaches them most of the subjects.
Personal support for finding employment – also for immigrants
Employment services have changed as a result of a legislative change in May 2022. Employment services in Vantaa and Kerava will also implement a new customer service model. With the new model, the rights and obligations of unemployed jobseekers will change. The purpose of the change is to offer
